1. Who we are
Tiny Maths Arena (“we”, “us” or “our”) refers to the developer responsible for the Tiny Maths Arena app and this website. This policy applies to the app and to information you provide when contacting support.
Developer/contact: Atul Thakur (developer). Support and privacy contact: maybeatul@icloud.com. You can also use the support page.
2. Children’s privacy
Tiny Maths Arena is designed as a child-friendly maths practice experience. Children deserve extra care and clear privacy protections. Parents and guardians should review this policy and supervise use as appropriate.
We do not intend for children to provide more personal information than is necessary to use the app. Do not add a child’s full name, contact details, school, precise location, photographs or other sensitive information to support messages unless it is genuinely necessary and a parent or guardian has considered the implications.
Developer action required: Confirm whether the app asks for an account, name, date of birth, email address, microphone, camera, location or any other permission. Describe each such feature accurately here. If the app is distributed in markets with specific children’s privacy laws, ensure its consent, age-appropriate design, retention and parental-rights processes meet those requirements.
3. Information the app may handle
The exact information depends on the features enabled in the released app and the third-party software integrated into it. Audit the production build and keep this section aligned with the actual behaviour.
Learning activity and progress
The app may process answers to maths questions, levels completed, stars, experience points, settings and other progress information so that the learning experience can work. Confirm whether this information stays only on the device or is transmitted to a server or service.
Information you send to support
If a parent or guardian contacts support, we will receive the information included in that message, such as the sender’s email address, the issue described and any details voluntarily provided. Please do not send passwords, payment information or unnecessary information about a child.
Device, diagnostics and usage information
The app or its service providers may process technical information such as app version, operating system, device model, crash logs, performance events, approximate timestamps or diagnostic identifiers if the relevant analytics or crash-reporting tools are included and enabled. List the actual tools and data collected here, or remove this paragraph if none applies.
Website technical information
When someone visits this website, the hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, request time and browser details, in server logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Confirm the hosting provider’s logging and retention practices before publication.
4. How information is used
Where applicable, information may be used to:
- provide the app’s maths questions, settings and progress features;
- save or restore progress, if the released version supports that functionality;
- diagnose crashes, fix errors and maintain app security;
- respond to support requests from parents, guardians or users;
- meet legal obligations and protect the service against misuse.
Do not claim that information is used only for these purposes unless you have checked all SDKs, services and data flows. Add any advertising, personalisation, analytics, account management or other purposes that actually apply.
5. Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell personal information as a business model. However, the app or website may rely on service providers to host content, deliver the app, process support messages, monitor crashes or provide other necessary functions. If those providers receive information, their role and relevant data handling must be reflected accurately in this policy and in the app’s privacy disclosures.
Complete this section before release: list each third-party SDK or provider used in the production app and website, what information it receives, why it receives it, and link to its privacy policy. Examples to check in your project include analytics, crash reporting, cloud databases, authentication, advertising, attribution and website hosting. Do not include an example unless you actually use it.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the developer or the service.
6. Storage and security
Information may be stored locally on a device or by a service provider, depending on how the app is implemented. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Developer action required: specify the actual storage arrangement, access controls and security measures. Do not promise encryption, a particular hosting region or other technical safeguards unless they are implemented and verified.
7. Retention and deletion
Information should be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal, security and operational requirements. Support messages may be retained long enough to resolve the request and keep appropriate support records. Technical logs may be retained according to the hosting or service provider’s configuration.
If learning progress is stored only on the device, deleting the app or its local data may remove that progress. If information is stored on a server or by a third party, a separate deletion request or process may be needed. Confirm which scenario applies before publishing.
A parent or guardian may contact support to ask what information is held and to request deletion where applicable. We may need enough information to locate the relevant record and verify that the requester is authorised, while avoiding collection of unnecessary information about the child.
8. Choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you or your child may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
To make a request, a parent or guardian can contact us using the details on the support page. We will review the request under applicable law and explain if we need additional information. If the app uses permissions or optional data collection, describe here how to manage or revoke those permissions in the app or device settings.
9. International users and legal bases
The app may be used in more than one country. Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis for processing, the basis may depend on the particular activity—for example, providing a requested feature, meeting a legal obligation, protecting the service, or consent where required. The relevant rights and rules vary by jurisdiction.
If information is transferred internationally by a hosting provider or other service, confirm the destinations and safeguards used by that provider and add any disclosures required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes, our data practices change or legal requirements evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when the policy changes. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
11. Contact us
